SUBMIT CATCH REPORTS

A requirement to renew your annual Lionfish Hunter permit from the Fisheries Department is to submit catch reports of all lionfish culled.
Catch data can be reported anytime, but must be reported within one week of capture in order to be counted in the Honor Roll. The registered Lionfish Hunter who has the most captures/points will be ranked highest on the Honor Roll. Participants are encouraged to eat captured lionfish, or sell or donate to a friend, restaurant or fishing cooperative. Remember when cleaning lionfish be sure to save the fins for local artists that made jewelry! By submitting your catch data so we can display the amount of lionfish being removed from the Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System World Heritage Site and associated marine ecosystems. |
