Lionfish Hunter Honor Roll Agreement
This agreement is made to encourage all participants to respect the Honor Roll concept, the Belize Barrier Reef and the Laws of Belize that protect our valuable, but vulnerable, marine resources.

I am aware and recognize the significant trust placed in me to help manage lionfish in Belize and acknowledge:

The Laws of Belize do not permit unlicensed fishers to harvest marine life
Only residents of Belize can apply for a fishing license.
Belize Fisheries Department gives special permission to persons to remove lionfish.
Only approved and licensed spears can be used. If a new spear is introduced and is questionable as to whether it meets the approved criteria, the spear will be shared with the Fisheries Department for approval prior to use.
While participating in removing lionfish I will adhere to all regulations and understand the severe consequences that will result if I do not abide by the rules and regulations.
The consequences can be that I am disqualified from the Honor Roll competition, and if I am a marine guide I may have restrictions placed on my tour guide license, or fined under the laws of Belize for illegally harvesting marine products that carries a fine of $500 per infraction.

In recognition of the above mentioned conditions I agree to respect the Laws of Belize and will abide by the Lionfish Hunter Honor Roll Rules.

By submitting this Registration I acknowledge the rules and accept the consequences if I do not abide by them.
